Our Story

Renfroe Construction Company started its operation November of 1999. Our focus is in the religious, commercial, and retail construction markets in Georgia. We have combined experience of over one hundred years in construction. Renfroe offers design-build/turnkey construction solutions. We offer all the services required for your project from planning to move in.

We are a family owned business, with over a one hundred year's of experience. We handle projects ranging from smaller remodeling and tenant improvements to large scale design/build programs. Renfroe Construction offers complete design construction and development services. We are one of the fastest growing contractors in the area with annual volume of ten million dollars. We design most of the facilities we build. As a successful Builder, we can offer the best in custom concept design and superior construction service. Jimmy Melton

Jimmy Melton is president of Renfroe Construction Company. Jimmy started about a month before the company was formed in 1999. Jimmy graduated from Georgia Tech in 1994 with a Bachelor of Science in Building Construction. Jimmy worked as an assistant project manager for Alcon Associates of Albany, GA and then as a project manager for John Pitts Company of Forsyth, GA before starting Renfroe Construction Company in November of 1999. Jimmy oversees day to day operations of the company and is still heavily involved in project management and sales. Jimmy spends his spare time with his family and Boy Scout Troop 51

Rob Shurley

Rob has over 25 years of experience in project management. He has been with Renfroe Construction the last 20 years. He is experienced in managing projects of 500,000 to 3 million. He has the ability to negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers to secure the best possible pricing for your project.

Joi Sutton

Joi Sutton is Renfroe Construction’s office manager. Joi has over 25 years of experience in her field. Joi is responsible for the day to day operations which include accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and human resources.

Chris Staples

Chris has over 24 years in the construction field. Chris started his career as a Carpenter’s helper and quickly rose through the ranks to superintendent. Chris began with Renfroe Construction in 2004.

Lane Staples

Lane has over 35 years in the commercial/industrial construction. Most of Lane’s jobs have been from ground up and including all form work and standing and erecting of steel with most projects involving pre-engineered buildings.

Shawn Harrison

Shawn Harrison is the newest member of the Renfroe Construction team. Shawn has been in the construction industry for 30 plus years. Shawn’s experience includes residential construction, high end millwork, medical/dental renovations and construction, large commercial and municipal projects. Shawn has managed and supervised projects ranging in cost from $50k medical office renovations to $84m school builds.
